The Golden Blessing

The Golden Blessing – Golden Pomp, Sanctuary of Splendour transforms a portable toilet into an unlikely site of devotion. Wrapped in gold, it invites visitors into a space where humour, ritual and bodily necessity coexist.

Originally conceived as a silent intervention at Helsinki Lasipalatsi Square (2025), the work later evolved into an interactive sound installation for Collision Points Festival in Sweden (2026).

Visitors are invited to use the toilet as intended. As they enter, a motion sensor randomly activates one of four independent vocal compositions, giving each visit a different encounter with the work.
