The Golden Blessing

The Golden Blessing – Golden Pomp, Sanctuary of Splendour transforms a portable toilet into an unlikely site of devotion. Wrapped in gold, it invites visitors into a space where ritual and bodily necessity coexist.

Originally conceived as a silent intervention at Helsinki Lasipalatsi Square (2025), the work later evolved into an interactive sound installation. In 2026, it was presented at Collision Points Festival in Sweden and at Aaltoja! Valoa ja ääntä Kotkassa festival in Finland.

Visitors are invited to use the toilet as intended. As they enter, a motion sensor randomly triggers one of several sound works, giving each visit a different encounter with the work. The installation continues to evolve through new sound works.

A temporary sculptural intervention in a coastal landscape. Made of polystyrene, the geometric form existed only briefly, leaving the photograph as its final form. (2026)

Ylitse

Overflow

Ylitse is conceived as a monumental participatory sculpture, inviting the audience to take part in a shared ritual of eating. The work currently takes the form of a photographic diptych featuring a cake stand, fabric, mämmi and cream. (2026)
